Photos and video: 'The Diviners' at El Dorado High School

I thoroughly enjoyed attending the opening night of the play, The Diviners, which was performed by El Dorado High's Thespian Troupe 199 on Wednesday.

The Diviners, which is set in the  fictional town of Zion Indiana during the Depression Era 1930's, is the story of a boy with a phobia of water, yet possesses a remarkable ability to find, or divine, water.

The boy developed the fear as a young child when his mother was killed while trying to save him from drowning.

A former pastor attempts to cure the boy of the phobia

The  lead character,Buddy Layman, was played by Rod Bagheri. Other cast  members include: Jordan Young, as C.C. Showers; Daniel Hunt, as Ferris  Layman; Imogen Klossner as Jennie Mae Layman
