Students from Costa Mesa, Edison and Marina high schools took to the catwalk Sunday for "Flair OC," a charity fashion show held at Gods & Heros Salon and Boutique in Costa Mesa.
Fifteen girls and five boys choreographed their own runway routines and spent a lot of time preparing for the show. Costa Mesa High cheerleaders, for example, "spent three days on the music, a week on the runway, and had fittings and run-throughs," in addition to 3 hours of hair and makeup on the day of the show, Costa Mesa cheer coach Kori Johnson said.

The show was hosted by Allie Stockton and Clay Adler from MTV's "Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County".
Local musician Trevor Green opened the show with his one-man world/folk jam. Fire dancers performed to his music.
The salon staff at Gods & Heros donated their services on what would normally be their only day off to primp the models.
Tickets cost $20 to $50, and proceeds went to the schools and Olive Crest, a home for abused children.
"It's a really good cause and we are excited to help out with it", Marina High junior Talylor Ferre said.
