The USA Regional Competition was held at Esperanza High School in Anaheim on Saturday, Jan. 19.
The competition consisted of 16 cheer divisions and five song/pom divisions. Schools that qualify will move on to compete for the nationals at the Anaheim Convention Center in the beginning of March.
Esperanza JV Cheer Coach Margaret Reddick said, "We're really excited to be at this competition since it's hosted at our school. It's good for the kids to do it in front of their friends and parents. They have a blast doing that and they work really hard."
